Give Thanks for Goals within Reach

Defying the odds, SALT’s training ministry has continued to thrive in 2024! Although the overall environment remains tense, 32 training events have been completed as of the end of October. We give thanks that our annual goal of 40 trainings appears within reach, provided the weather (let the reader understand) doesn’t further deteriorate. We also give thanks that our yearly goal to add two new training sites has been attained. We plan to begin their Three-Year Certificate Program in 2025.

Rejoice with us over the on-schedule revision of our Old Testament 4 (OT4) course after two years of hard work by the curriculum team. Covering the History Books from Judge to Esther, this revamped edition has already garnered wide recognition across our training sites.

Meanwhile, our new course Philippians is progressing steadily, with six of 12 chapters in the course expected to be completed this year.

“Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.” (Psalm 127:1, NIV)

In the midst of adversity, SALT’s ministry has miraculously flourished, all thanks to God’s watchful care. Without His guidance and protection, likely nothing would have been accomplished. Of course, your partnership is also a significant source of motivation for us.

2024 Work Goals and Progress (as of the end of October)

Looking ahead, SALT will focus on improving and fine-tuning current training and editing processes. We envision that one day soon, our national trainers will be taking over all the training and curriculum development work as an independent, indigenous team. We are so grateful for your ongoing prayers and support as we journey together into the future!
